So I was wrong. I thought that Timo Perez would be sent to Memphis because Carp was coming off the DL. Instead, Larry Bigbie goes back on the DL and is out for another 3-4 weeks.
My condolences to the family of Ervin "Erv" Fischer. Erv was the longtime historian at the Cardinals HOF & Museum. He passed away at his home at the age of 80.
Three members of the Palm Beach Cardinals (A) were named to the Eastern Division All-Star team: outfielder Terry Evans, pitcher Blake Hawksworth and closer Mike Sillman.
