I'm hearing that the St. Louis Cardinals could be preparing to announce Mike Matheny as the next manager as early as Sunday, possibly as late as Monday. We shall see. Honestly, given the whole Boston Red Sox collapse in September, I would rather have Matheny at the helm then Francona.
In other news, the Miami Marlins made an offer to Albert Pujols but there have been no details released.
